Towards Indonesia's Green General Aviation
This initiative represents more than infrastructure development—it's a strategic effort to establish Indonesia's first Green General Aviation Hub, aligned with ICAO's CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) and ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) agenda.
Strategic Objectives
- Establish an efficient, low-emission GA ecosystem
- Support national implementation of CORSIA & ACA frameworks
- Create a green business model based on energy efficiency, carbon offset, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
The Green General Aviation Hub concept encompasses a comprehensive approach across five strategic pillars:
Green Infrastructure
Energy-efficient hangar design featuring solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, natural lighting, and intelligent ventilation solutions.
Green Operations
Deployment of electric/hybrid vehicles, no-idling engine policies, comprehensive waste management, and water recycling systems.
CORSIA Integration
Implementation of Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems for flight emissions, fuel baseline calculations, and carbon offset through local green projects.
ACA Collaboration
Partnership with UPBU Budiarto for facility carbon footprint management, positioning as a Green Partner Entity in the Airport Carbon Accreditation program.
Green Monetization
Revenue generation through carbon credit sales, carbon-neutral flight services, access to green financing, and ESG partnerships with national and international institutions.
Leading the Future of Sustainable Aviation
Through this initiative, Curug Avia positions itself as a pioneer in sustainable General Aviation ecosystems, supporting Indonesia's commitment to net-zero emissions by 2060 and ICAO's Green Aviation 2050 vision.
The General Aviation facility developed by Curug Avia will serve as a tangible model of CORSIA-ACA collaboration in the general aviation sector—integrating economic performance, technological innovation, and environmental responsibility into a single operational concept that is green, modern, and globally competitive.
